We are RELEVANT, ministering to women of all ages and cultures.

Vision & Ministry Focus of Director Janice Scott

Not long ago while in prayer, God Spoke to my heart that He was going to use the ordinary to perform the extraordinary. Soon He began to impress key area's ministry on my heart where He wanted to show Himself real to the women of the Pentecostal Church of God.

Below is a list of ministries in 4 key areas that God has placed on my heart for the Women's Ministries Department.

1. Leadership Training - Giving women in ministry the training and recourses needed to minister to the women of their districts effectively. Creating a network of ministry throughout the Women's Ministries Department specializing in key areas of ministry.

2. WOW4 (to the 4th power) Conferences - Designed to develop our women in to WOW Women! Wow women are women who are:

Women of the Word – John 8:32 says, “And ye shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free.” Training women to build their lives on the word of God is the only way to truly be free.

Women of Works – James 2:15-18 says, “If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, and one of you say to them Depart in peace, be warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit? Even so faith, if it hath not works is dead being alone. Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will show thee my faith by my works.” Our works are a direct result of our faith! We must be willing to extend our hand to those who need the love of God.

Women of Worship – John 4:23 says, “But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship Him.” As worshipers we can enter into the very presence of God. Once they experience His presence their lives will forever be changed.

Women of Worth – Proverbs 31 discusses the qualities of a virtuous woman. Clearly the worlds view of worth and what God’s word teaches us about a woman’s worth are two totally different things. Our women need to know that their worth doesn’t lie in what they possess, how they look or whose name is on the labels on their clothes. What matters is that Jesus Christ living in us and that’s is what gives us worth and brings God’s favor. We are so valuable to God that He sent His only son so that we might be saved and have abundant life.

3. Mentoring - Titus 2:4 admonishes the older women to teach the younger women. In our society many young women have been raised in single parent homes, Godless environments and many of them, even those raised in church have been overly influenced by secular ideals that have been taught in schools and broadcasted on television. It is the our responsibility as women of God to train the next generation to be the daughters of God, tearing down walls that divide us and joining together to make a difference in our world.

4. Missions – The great commission is to all believers. The Women’s Ministries Department has been a supporter of missions since its conception. We have raised money for missions and the families of missionaries for many years. Now it’s time that we take our commitment to another level by organizing women only missions trips. It is my desire to create opportunities for our women to experience the blessing of hands on ministry on the mission field.

Today we are faced with a choice, will we continue to do what we’ve been doing and be satisfied with the results or will we allow God to use our
ordinary lives to perform the extraordinary.
